IAR goes worldwide!
This past weekend we had the privilege of hosting a team from China at our lab. We spent 2 full days working our way through a donor. Out of the 9 people, four spoke English, and the rest only Chinese. At first the language barrier seemed daunting. (Especially because I'm long winded and that is not helpful for translators.) However our mutual curiosity took over and soon we were deep into our exploration. As time bore on the communication seemed to not be an issue as we used our eyes, hands, and even scalpels to show the truths of the body. As we delved deeper into the anatomy we also developed a special bond between us that bridges our cultures. They are coming back next year. We cant wait.
